SUSTAINABILITY
WHAT IS SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability focuses on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Sustainability is made up of three pillars: economic, social and environmental
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO US
1. TO MANUFACTURE OUR PIECES IN A FACILITY THAT EMPOWERS AND SUPPORTS ITS LOCAL COMMUNITY: SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY
-
AT OUR PRODUCTION FACILITY
- 61 of the 62 employees live within a 30km radius.- Most of the employees have been working on the same facility for numerous years.
- All outsourced services are done by local businesses.
- The factory invests in the future of its local industry by organizing workshops and training courses to young students who want to learn about the art of goldsmith.
- All raw materials are solely sourced from local suppliers.
2. TO DESIGN AND PRODUCE COLLECTIONS THAT ARE NEITHER SHORT-TERM NOR SEASONAL, ALLOWING OUR PIECES TO MAINTAIN THEIR VALUE OVER TIME.
3. TO CREATE OUR PRODUCTS FROM MATERIALS THAT ARE ETHICALLY SOURCED AND ARE NOT DAMAGING TO THE ENVIRONMENT.
-
AT OUR PRODUCTION FACILITY
- Precious metals are sourced strictly from local companies that acquire ethical and ecological certifications. This en- sures that the raw materials are 100% ethical; they do not come from a warzone area or from a mine in which, minors are exploited or from places that the environment is not respected.
- Precious metals are recycled on a daily basis. Our factory has the capability of collecting their daily manufacturing waste, melting it and reproducing it.
ALL OF OUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF RECYCLED METAL.
4. TO ACHIEVE QUALITY THROUGH PROCESSES, WHICH ARE NEITHER HARMFUL TO THE LOCAL ECOSYSTEM NOR THEY GENERATE EXCESSIVE WASTE.
-
AT OUR PRODUCTION FACILITY
- We are mindful with water.
- We recycle waste.
- We do not use any harmful chemicals during production. The factory uses ecological acid for the cleaning of the oxides.
- We do constant efforts to reduce the plastic consumption. Whenever possible the use of plastic products is being substituted by reusable products.
